ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene-copolymer). Amorphous, thermoplastic terpolymer (derived from three monomers), chiefly used for housings of domestic appliances and office equipment.

Substances which are added to the polymers in order to improve one or more properties. In higher concentrations these are often additives such as fillers, plasticising agents, flame retardant or reinforcement such as glass fibres and/or glass beads (powder)

Amorphous structure

No crystalline structures can be found in a microscopic range. Opposite of a partially crystalline structure.

Antistatic agent

A substance added in small amounts to a material or applied to its surface to counteract the build up of an electrical charge on the surface of the material.
